Slim and refined nasal line cases

The expression "slim nose" can refer to the width of the nasal bridge or to a slender appearance of the nasal tip. Case records document patient requests for a slender shape, as well as narrowing of the nasal bridge width while correcting asymmetry from prior surgeries. First, check which areas appeared wide and what the goal was to make them look more slender.

Case records also include notes where the nasal tip projection and nasolabial angle changed immediately after surgery, giving a slender impression. At this stage, the appearance in immediately postoperative photos should not be interpreted as long-term width changes. By distinguishing between the nasal bridge and nasal tip, patient requests and surgeon observations, and the timing of each photo, you can more accurately compare different slim-line cases.

Key considerations when revising ear cartilage rhinoplasty with autologous rib cartilage

A case of a patient seeking a slimmer line after a previous rhinoplasty. Nasal tip reconstruction with autologous rib cartilage, nasal bridge implant replacement with lowering of the radix, nasal sill reduction, and full-face autologous fat grafting were performed together.

Why a operated nose deviates and nostrils become asymmetric after physical trauma, and how septal reconstruction is performed

A case where post-surgical trauma caused a septal tear, resulting in a crooked nose and nostril asymmetry. Septal reconstruction was performed using autologous rib cartilage, along with realigning the columellar central axis and replacing the implant.

Changes that occur when an implant is positioned high and deviated: methods for replacement and bulbous tip correction

A high, deviated silicone implant was replaced to lower the radix, and septal extension was performed using donor rib cartilage. Partial soft tissue resection, cartilage tie, and rhinitis surgery addressed the bulbous tip and nasal obstruction.

Why a nose looks bulbous or pug-like, and how to refine both the nasal tip cartilage and nasal bones together

A blunt, pug-like nose, retracted columella, and wide nasal bridge were transformed into a slim, three-dimensional profile using autologous rib cartilage tip plasty, columellar lowering, lateral osteotomy, and cartilage reduction with suturing.

Why nasal obstruction persists despite multiple surgeries: Correcting nasal valve stenosis and nostril asymmetry

A case of persistent nostril asymmetry and nasal valve stenosis after multiple surgeries, addressed by removing existing implants, performing septoplasty and turbinoplasty, and reconstructing the structure with rib cartilage and a skin graft.

Why the nasal bridge looks wide and uneven, and how osteotomy and rib cartilage tip surgery are performed

Foreign material was removed from the nasal bridge, and lateral osteotomy, a custom-carved silicone implant, and donor rib cartilage were used to eliminate the dorsal step-off, creating a slim, straight bridge line.

Why a bulbous nose looks blunt and wide, and how to create tip definition

For a blunt, wide bulbous nose and drooping tip following nasal filler injections, we performed filler removal, created a tip support structure using autologous rib cartilage, reinforced the septum, and thinned the skin.

Before-and-after comparison

Why artificial dermis on the nasal bridge can remain as a dorsal hump and how it is reconstructed after removal

In a case where residual artificial dermis from a previous procedure formed a dorsal hump and weakened the septal support, the artificial dermis was dissected and removed, lateral osteotomy and dorsal hump reduction were performed, the nasal tip was reconstructed using autologous rib cartilage, and the silicone implant was replaced.

Why nasal asymmetry remains after cleft lip and palate, and reconstruction using rib and ear cartilage

For cleft lip- and palate-related asymmetry and alar deformities, septal reconstruction and dorsal augmentation were performed using autologous rib cartilage, along with alar reconstruction using ear cartilage and lateral osteotomy.

Why an overly high nose looks unnatural and deviates, and how it can be reconstructed

For an overly high "Pinocchio-like" deviated nose with septal damage, the silicone implant was removed, and autologous rib cartilage reconstruction, radix adjustment, and nasal sill reduction were performed.

Common questions before reading the cases

Does a slender nose mean the nasal bridge width was reduced?

The records include both cases where nasal bridge width was addressed with osteotomy and cases where a slender appearance was observed after changes in nasal tip projection and the nasolabial angle. The same design phrase can refer to changes in different areas. Reviewing the surgery details to see whether the nasal bridge was narrowed or the nasal tip shape was altered helps clarify the differences behind a single umbrella term.

How should I interpret photos showing a slender nasal tip immediately after surgery?

Some original records note that immediately after surgery, increased nasal tip projection and changes in the nasolabial angle created a slender appearance. Because this is an observation at that specific point in time, it does not replace long-term follow-up documentation. You can compare before-and-after appearances by checking the requested design, the areas actually operated on, and when the photos were taken.
