Rhinoplasty after nasal thread lift and thread removal cases

In cases where patients consulted for rhinoplasty after not achieving their desired shape from nasal thread procedures, a history of filler or fat grafting often appears together. This collection is not an introduction to performing new thread procedures, but a record examining the condition of noses with previous procedures and the subsequent surgeries. Check the original text to see if changes could be explained by the threads alone.

There are articles that specifically describe the process of removing existing threads and filler, as well as articles where patients initially preferred an implant-free approach but discussed a different direction during consultation. The method the patient hoped for and the surgery actually performed are not the same information. Separating past procedures, consultation requests, and intraoperative removal details makes it easier to find cases that closely match your own situation.

Why the nasal tip deviates to one side after rhinoplasty and methods for reconstructing its support structure

Septal cartilage damaged from previous surgeries was reconstructed using autologous rib cartilage, and the lower lateral cartilages were restored. Lateral osteotomy and rhinitis surgery were performed concurrently to correct the crooked nose and nostril asymmetry.

Why a dorsal hump looks prominent and how to correct it along with the nasal tip

Previously injected nasal filler was removed, the protruding dorsal hump was rasped, and lateral osteotomies were performed. The blunt nasal tip was elevated using autologous rib cartilage, and both the nasolabial angle and septum were corrected.

Why nasal filler cannot correct a drooping tip and dorsal hump, and the reconstruction method after removal

To resolve a persistent drooping tip and dorsal hump deformity after filler and PDO thread lifting, foreign material was removed, followed by nasal tip reconstruction using autologous rib cartilage, a silicone implant on the nasal bridge, and septoplasty.

Why a wide tip often comes with nasal obstruction, and how foreign material removal and reconstruction are performed

For nasal obstruction caused by nasal bridge filler, a bulbous nose, a deviated septum, and inferior turbinate hypertrophy, foreign material was removed, followed by nasal tip correction using autologous rib cartilage, septoplasty, and turbinoplasty.

Why artificial dermis on the nasal bridge can remain as a dorsal hump and how it is reconstructed after removal

In a case where residual artificial dermis from a previous procedure formed a dorsal hump and weakened the septal support, the artificial dermis was dissected and removed, lateral osteotomy and dorsal hump reduction were performed, the nasal tip was reconstructed using autologous rib cartilage, and the silicone implant was replaced.

Why the columella droops and nostrils become visible: correcting a crooked nose and nostril asymmetry

A case of a drooping columella, crooked nose, and nostril show following prior filler, Misko, and silicone rhinoplasty. Autologous rib cartilage reconstruction and alar rim grafts were performed after implant removal.

Why the glabella widens and the nasal tip upturns after repeated filler and thread treatments

Foreign materials that had widened the glabella along with the previous implant were removed, and the upturned nose was corrected through partial septal reconstruction using autologous rib cartilage and nasolabial angle adjustment.

Why bulbous noses are difficult to correct and the reconstruction method after foreign material removal

For a bulbous nose and drooping tip blunted by past nasal filler and thread-lifting procedures, the foreign material was removed, and the nasal line was refined using septal cartilage, donor rib cartilage, and a silicone implant.

To improve nasal bridge asymmetry and a blunt nasal shape resulting from nose filler and thread-lifting procedures, the foreign materials were removed, and tip support structures were established using donor rib cartilage and septal cartilage.

Why a wide nasal bridge and upturned nasal tip develop, and how rib cartilage reconstruction is performed

For a wide nasal bridge and an upturned nasal tip resulting from repeated surgeries and nasal bridge thread-lifting procedures, foreign material was removed, lateral osteotomy was performed, and septal reconstruction was carried out by recycling existing autologous rib cartilage and supplementing with donor rib cartilage.

Common questions before reading the cases

Does filler removal also appear in surgeries where nasal threads were removed?

There are cases documenting the process of removing existing threads and filler together. The articles explain both the surrounding tissue and the surgical approach, rather than presenting it simply as dealing with a single strand of thread. When looking for results related to nasal threads, read to see whether there was a prior history of filler or fat graft, and what was actually removed.

If an implant-free approach was desired after nasal threads, was it actually performed without an implant?

You cannot make that direct assumption. Among bulbous nose cases with a history of nasal threads and filler, there are records where the patient initially preferred an implant-free approach, but the direction of correction was renegotiated during the consultation. Desires correspond to preoperative requests, and the final materials and the actual method performed must be verified separately in the surgical description of the text.
