👨⚕️ Specialist's assessment
In this type of case, the main goal was to correct the upturned nose while creating a natural yet well-defined nasal line. In particular, we aimed to reduce the excessive nostril show caused by the upturned nose while avoiding an overly lengthened nose or an artificial look.
Because the patient had rhinitis, functional nasal surgery was performed simultaneously, which was eligible for private medical insurance coverage in Korea. By smoothing the uneven nasal dorsum and slimming the wide bridge, we achieved the patient's goal of a well-defined, natural result.

Limitations and risks
When the septum is corrected at the same time, nasal obstruction may persist or recur, and in rare cases, septal perforation or changes in smell may occur.
Common potential risks include infection, bleeding, asymmetry, scarring, skin necrosis, and insufficient improvement; results vary depending on individual skin condition and previous surgical history.
